Transparency: The ever increasing state of publicity and honesty that is initiated by having power. This means that as a person has more power (fame, wealth, authority, ability), they are required to be more open and honest. By open, we are referring to publicizing their personal activities. This publicity is not in order to increase criticism, but a function of the public's sense of ownership in that power. People always take ownership in their providers. People have a sense of responsibility to people who provide them with services or products. Therefore, people have ownership in people who are providing authority or ability or setting an example: all are very useful services. Since the public claims ownership, they claim responsibility. Since they are responsible, they will demand to know details, clarity, disclosure and witness to anything relevant to their authority. The reason why the public is interested in a famous actor's sexual preferences is because they take stock in him as a role model for being a real man. Whether or not a real man does this or that, or whether or not a real man is defined as being open and honest about preferences is for them to make personal decisions about. The publicity and honesty however is the accountability of the famous actor. That's why people feel like "they ought to know" even though, in "non-famous" situations, this would inappropriate personal details for them to ask.

Committed Couples is here defined where each party participated in at least two of the following activities:
a) Cohabitated with each other for at least 3 months out of the last 6 months
b) Sexual activity at least twice in the last 6 months
c) Both parties said to outside parties any of the following: boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, partner, spouse in reference to the other person in the last 6 months

1) Regardless of whether one or both people in the relationship are clients, all Confidentiality and Privacy are held jointly by both partners.
